Privacy Policy
Effective date: 13 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Datamate Pty Ltd (ABN 46 697 833 220), trading as Datamate Solutions ("Datamate", "we", "us"), handles personal information in connection with this website, www.datamatesolutions.com.au. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers your use of this website and enquiries you send to us. Where we provide software products or services to a client (including our MicroApps), the handling of data within those products is governed by the agreement with that client, which will address privacy, data hosting, security, and retention specific to the engagement.
2. Information we collect
This website does not use accounts, contact forms, cookies set by us, analytics, or advertising trackers. The personal information we may collect is limited to:
- Enquiries you send us. If you email us (for example via the contact link on this site), we collect your name, email address, and whatever information you choose to include in your message.
- Feedback you submit through the on-page feedback tool. On preview pages of this site we make an optional feedback button available. If you use it, we collect the message and category you submit, the address and title of the page you are on, a screenshot of your current browser view including any marks you add, your approximate device and browser information (user-agent) and IP address, and an anonymous identifier stored in your browser so we can show you replies to your feedback. A name is collected only if you choose to enter one. Screenshots are automatically deleted after 180 days. This information is processed and stored on our behalf by Cloudflare, Inc. To reduce spam, submissions are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives standard request metadata.
- Technical and log information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., automatically records standard web-server information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We use this only for site operation and security.
- Font loading. Pages on this site currently load fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which discloses your IP address and browser details to Google LLC. Google's handling of that information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Why we collect it
We collect and use personal information to respond to your enquiries, to provide and discuss our services, to review and respond to feedback you send us, to operate and secure this website, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Disclosure and overseas recipients
We disclose personal information only to service providers that support the operation of this website and our business — principally Cloudflare (website hosting and content delivery) and Google (font delivery, as described above), each of which may process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States — and where otherwise required or authorised by law.
5. Storage, security and retention
Email enquiries are stored in our business email systems. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure, and we retain it only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
6. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@datamatesolutions.com.au. If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
